Alberto Gonzales says he, too, is a casualty of war on terrorFormer Attorney General Alberto Gonzales tells the Wall Street Journal that he considers himself one of the "casualties of the war on terror" for being singled out for criticism over administration policies. "For some reason, I am portrayed as the one who is evil in formulating policies that people disagree with," he tells the newspaper in an extensive interview.
The 53-year-old Gonzales says he does not yet have a job because some some law firms are "skittish" about hiring him.
Otherwise, the longtime Bush confidante says he is writing his memoirs, although as yet has no publisher. He says he is writing them if only "for my sons, so at least they know the story."
