I find my self reading all the excellent articles that Sooz and others post, along with their commentary on them, and saying, "Yup", "That's right", "Couldn't agree more", etc. That's fine, but there should be more diversity of viewpoint, so we don't lose our edge. Somebody has to step up and volunteer to be Conservative Republican Advocacy Person (CRAP). We could make up a schedule and assign a week of right-wing advocacy to each of us in turn. Not longer than a week at a time, lest one of us fall into a trance and go over to the dark side while formulating his or her own CRAP argument. What do you think?

I hasten to add the gopqed does a fine job of this when he has time, but it's just too much for one person.

Katy, I totally believe that two people can disagree without being disagreeable. I think we respect each other here, and can express disagreement without anger.

But seriously, I know what you're saying. I actually can appreciate different viewpoints. The kind of comments that make one say, "Hey - I never thought of that." That doesn't happen very often to me, especially when debating conservatives.
