The 51-48 roll call Tuesday by which the Senate rejected a plan that would allow Americans to import low-cost prescriptions from abroad. Sixty votes were needed to pass the measure.

A "yes" vote is a vote to pass the measure.

Voting yes were 27 Democrats, 23 Republicans and 1 independent.

Voting no were 30 Democrats, 17 Republicans and 1 independent.

On their web site, Walgreens has 500mg Acetominaphen caplets for about 5 cents each when you buy a bottle of 150 caplets. ($7.36, regularly $7.99)

I guess the vote above shows that Democrats hate the American healthcare seeker more than do the Republicans. Image

I'll also point out to those who support this idea and supported Obama in the last election that the the Obama White House opposed this amendment, and John McCain voted for it.
