The Philadelphia Eagles today play the Cowboys for the NFC Crown. My son and his buddies are coming for the game as are a few of our friends. Hubby is in the kitchen chopping peppers. This is for a vegetarian chili. A couple of the guys are veggies. Sooz's recipe for Black Bean chili has been crock potting for some time. He is planning on making her Mahogany wing recipe. Guests are bringing chicken wings from various establihsments, and we are having wing wars. The downside of this is there are actually a few Cowboys (horrors!) fans attending.

I play in a yearly football pool with 120 entrants. For the year to date, the leader has 170 correct picks and I have 161. My pick strategy for today was pick every underdog. It is my only hope for winning the year. The leader and I have 10 different picks for the week so it is technically possible (but highly improbable) for me to win. So e1, root underdogs!!!!

I'll root underdogs today if you'll root University of Texas Thursday. Rah Rah. Hook em Horns.

We made the chili yesterday and loved it. We used lean ground beef for the meat and it worked well. We browned it and added it for the last hour.

OMG!!!! The game was awful, but the wings and chili were PERFECT!!!!!!

Today the Eagles are trying again in Dallas!!!!! Last week was disgusting!!!!

Hubby threw lasagna in the oven and he is out getting more beer. Everyone is supposed to bring a pizza.

Let's hope this is less painful than last week.
