WARNING
TEA PARTY IN DANGER

A Political firestorm is inevitable as the Tea Party is quietly targeted for capture!

“The Tea Party is an inspired movement of like minded Patriots, not the actions of one person, but countless Patriots acting as one. I am deeply concerned the Tea Party is becoming nothing more than a wholly owned subsidiary of the Republican Party.â€

Quite extraordinary ~ and exposes how far removed from reality this mindset really is ~ I'm mostly convinced that the "Tea Party" is a much bigger problem for the Rs ~ but I think it is generally fairly dangerous to dismiss them as "strutting jackasses", which I agree they are ~ they are amassing some BIG money and BIG names ~

Could that money be coming from Democrats bent of fanning the flames that are engulfing the Republican Party? Just a thought...

So far, all the Tea Party has achieved is fracturing the Repubs.

This stuff reminds me so much of the militia movement of a few years ago, so far without the guns, thank God.

I checked their website and nowhere does it explain in detail what they want to do. In other words, they have no real plan.

Special Interests Need to be Neutralized - How?
Political Office available for Average Citizens - How is it not?
Illegal Aliens are illegal - And?
Pro-Domestic Employment is indispensable - Yes, so how will they increase employment?
Stronger Military is essential - Does this mean spend even more on our military?
Gun ownership is sacred - So?
Government must be downsized - How?
National Budget must be balanced - How?
Deficit Spending will end - How?
Bail-out and Stimulus Plans are illegal - Based on what law?
Reduce Personal Income Taxes a must - How much?
Reduce Business Income Taxes is mandatory - How much?
Intrusive Government Stopped - Where is government intrusive?
English only is required - Why?
Traditional Family Values are encouraged - And that means...?
Common Sense Constitutional Conservative Self-Governance is our mode of operation - And?

John, the same "trick" is exploited by many R politicians today ~ it is ALWAYS easier to attack than to create ~ btw, I've mentioned this before but I recently learned that the USA is #5 [from the bottom/lowest] of the top 25 or 30 industrialized countries in personal taxes ~ and many of the countries with far higher taxes are living far better than many many many Americans ~

Well, IMHO, Palin is nothing more than the new political Barbie doll-In fact, I would not be surprised to see such a doll hit the stores....

They have the right audience for shallow platitudes. I'd say the Rs have the talent to pick the under-educated and ignorant ones as their loyal audience and feed them the right dosis of half truths and lies.

I can imagine under-educated and even ignorant people voting Democrat as well. There's something different going on here.

I don't know for certain how much of it is racism or anti-liberalism or what, but there were no tea parties until we had a black Democrat in the White House. You didn't see Palin and others speaking at these events while Bush was president. You didn't see them carrying their signs while Bush drove up the deficit to 1.2 trillion. You didn't hear cries of "socialism" when Bush passed his Medicare prescription drug plan. You didn't see them protest when Bush bailed out the banks.

Seems to me they are just far-right people being manipulated into thinking they are standing up for good old American values and the Constitution but they are just being used to attack Democrats and Obama.

Excellent and astute observation, John ~ I believe the country has generally been pushed so far right by the last administration that ANY move back towards center is seen as extreme liberalism ~ and then stress the "fear element" by continuously spewing words like "socialism", "fascism", "Marxism" ~ many don't even recognize that the terms are NOT interchangeable ~ far too many people are comfortable with being told what to do and how to think ~ they dismiss the "petty" concepts ... like "truth" and "fact" ~ and far too many are content ignoring the Constitution when it comes to their personal bigotries by embracing alleged personal dangers in "all men are created equal" and "equal justice under the law" ~ I do not believe it is strictly racism, altho I do believe that racism is an element here ~ I also believe that fundamental evangelicanism [yes, another "ism"] plays a significant role ~
