Corruption anybody?

In the lead-up to the financial crisis that crippled the American economy and plunged the country into a recession, the Federal Reserve made trillions in undisclosed loans to struggling banks and financial institutions, according to official documents obtained by Bloomberg News. Six of the country's largest banks then turned those loans into more than $13 billion in previously undisclosed profits.

The total cost of the Fed loans amounted to $7.77 trillion, and unlike the funds made available by the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), the loans came with virtually no strings attached for the banks:

For years and years I have been accused of being anti-American for repeatedly saying that the US is one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
Also makes you wonder if that's why the Kennedys are dead.

Then there are the dummies who can't figure out what OWS is all about.

And then there are the dummies who openly support the banks because they believe the alternative would be communism. The trouble is, there's no way to "settle accounts" with the banks because there are no physical assets to seize. All their "money" is just 1's and 0's on a mainframe somewhere.

Actually there is a way... jail the fraudsters for the maximum allowed by law and strip each one of them of every penny they have. Make the lot of them destitute.

You'd have to find where they're keeping those pennies and you can bet it's not in the ceramic pink piggy bank under their bed. It's all stuffed away on some hard drive in an obscure data center on some windswept island tax haven. Jail them all you want, but you won't get a plug nickel out of them.

No point having it if they can't use it.
