The press always mischaracterizes loan guarantees - it's "sexy" news. What amounts to being a cosigner isn't salacious enough.

Agreed, oskar ~ but that doesn't "excuse" blatant "misrepresentations" ~ especially given the state of our overall economy, those kinds of "misrepretations" have a significant effect on the markets generally ~
