Over the years my fave has changed. As a child, Rudolph was my absolute, had to see choice. Frosty was ok. I never was a huge fan of Charlie Brown. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a good one. I've surprisingly never seen "Its a Wonderful Life" from start to finish, lol. Only bits an pieces. All of the Miracle on 34th versions are good too, but the original holds a place in my heart. A Christmas Carol, the original is the best, but many of them are good ones. George C Scott is a good Scrooge.

I always loved the Andy Williams Christmas specials, Bob Hope and those sort of variety shows during the holidays.

My very favorite to watch every year now is "Scrooged" with Bill Murray. It makes me giggle, but still has the "awww" factor. Carol Kane is the only person who could have pulled off her role, lol.

I've never even heard of that one kathy. I watched a couple of trailers. It looks cute.

Last night hubby and I talked about this as we watched Fred Claus, lol. Another we like. The Santa Clause series is good as is Home Alone. I don't know if I've seen Bad Santa.

I never cared much for "It's a Wonderful Life" nor most other Christmas themed movies and TV specials. The one exception is "A Christmas Carol". It is probably my all time favorite story. Who else but Dickens could have written such a masterful tale of redemption?  While it's set in Victorian England, it is easy to relate it's message to any time, including our own. I agree with Roseanne that the first movie was the best, but others are good too.

They sound like Christmas in Arizona movies.

I thought we had to pick just one!

"Elf" has really grown on me. I didn't think I'd like it, but I gave it a chance because of Bob Newhart & Ed Asner.

I miss "The Little Match Girl". I know there was a cartoon version that used to be on TV every year, and I'd cry every time.

Edit...

Well... I haven't seen this in a long time and I'm surprised I actually found it on Youtube. It's not a Christmas story but it is about giving of one's self:

"The Happy Prince" - Oscar Wilde
