She would be soooooooo....fired in some jurisdictions.  Liberty Law would be on her like Monica on Bill if they read this article.

What a great story!! If only it were common and acceptable everywhere to teach children this way. Our world would be a much better place. Image

 The caveat is that children grow up and sometimes form other views. Partners, religious institutions and schools can have a huge, sometimes detrimental, impact.

But a much loved and respected teacher can plant a seed that may take root later in life to combat the detrimental stuff.

I've been thinking about this thread since pic first posted it yesterday ~ while we all know that hate must be taught/learned, the same is true for tolerance and acceptance ~ this woman sounds like a fabulous teacher, in the truest and every sense of the word ~ but there IS a very real danger/gamble that some parents might not agree with either her values or principles ~ and while that is definitely their problem, it could easily become her problem if they choose to complain ~ I'm very happy this teacher had the courage to confront this early on ~
