Yeah, we only lost power for about a day but there are still over 200k on Long Island still without power.

I sure hope this storm won't be as bad as the last one.

Well there won't be as much storm as the last one, but for the people in flooded areas and those whose neighborhoods were destroyed it will be much much worse to have another tidal surge, more trees down, heavy wet snow, and the prospect of more weeks without power. It certainly will delay gasoline deliveries in those areas too.

Please prepare, and evacuate if advised.

So far, rain and high winds since noon but they are predicting less than an inch of rain total for my area. The tides will be four to five feet above normal so there is still a potential for heavy flooding on the coastal areas.

Stop that blubbering! You are adding to the tidal surge.
Dry sobs are acceptable, along with extended, high pitched screams. :eek2

I feel sorry for you folks up there. There should always be a few weeks recovery time between disasters.

Wasn't that bad here. Cold, slushy, but even past midnight when I took the dog outside it hadn't frozen over.

It's not bad here either, but I don't know what it's done to the shore.

We only got a very, very light dusting of snow overnight and that is almost gone now because it's raining. Temp is rising a bit too.

If you are talking about the picture of the woman clearing her windshield, I think it's an optical illusion. The flying snow from the windshield, with the snow in the background makes it look like she's standing waist deep. I had to look twice to figure that out, lol.

I'm feeling a little mischevous today. Bad queen!
