(or woman?) LOL, I can't let hubby see this story. He'd jump on that deal in a heartbeat! He's a huge cartoon fan and crazy enough to drive around in something like this, lol.
Wanna be a mystery man in a Shaggy wagon?
Have we got a van for you!
Yes, the Mystery Machine, in all its multi-coloured glory, is on the market for a special owner who likes being the centre of attention.
“If I had a dollar for every time someone took a picture, I’d be rich,” says would-be seller Andy Rankin. “Every time I stop in a parking lot, people have to come up and take a look.”
From its humble beginnings as a Telus panel van, Rankin’s 1994 Chevy G10 gained a retro paint job and some instant cinematic fame when it was cast in the Vancouver-filmed movie Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins.
Now a rolling piece of Hollywood history, the Mystery Machine could be yours for just $2,000 — if he sells.
“For sure, I’ll be sorry to see it go — it’s been in the family for four years,” said Rankin, a 29-year-old Vancouver mechanical project manager. “But I think the time has come. It’s time for someone else to enjoy it.”
As for the rest of the car, if the paint job doesn’t have you sold already, Rankins offers up: “Brakes, starter motor, muffler, exhaust pipe are new. The van runs great.”
And what other truck, regardless of price, comes with the original bill of sale from “Mystery Films Incorporated?”
If you want more clues to this mystery sale, go to eBay and search G20 Mystery Machine.
