Woman's driveway stolen — guess which state she lives in
12 hrs ago

Things that go bump in the night — your car, when someone steals your driveway. Returning home Tuesday night, a Florida woman pulled into her driveway and found it missing. Yes, only in Florida do thieves steal driveways. According to sheriff’s detectives, the woman reported that she felt a bump when she entered her driveway, and upon inspection, discovered the concrete pavers that formed her driveway were gone. A witness told a deputy that they had seen two men digging up the pavers but didn’t find it suspicious, because the victim had workers building a barn on her property. [Source]

LOL! I read that this morning.

About a year or so ago, a woman here came home and her newly sodded lawn had been stolen! :lol The landscaping company had the wrong address. The police had a good laugh over the report and said it was a first for them. I'm sure these sort of calls give the police a little comic relief with all the real crime, injuries and death they face every day.

Watch it, Sooz! :hmm
Besides, the two guys maybe picked up their pavers after the snowbird from up North didn't pay them for work done. Of course they might have had another good job paving and couldn't get the right color/shape from the supply house.

At $50 a foot plus casings, etc. that's a big one.

Pavers are expensive. Labor intensive, too.
