From the Weekend

We covered a fair amount of ground over the weekend. Here's a quick overview of what you may have missed.

On Sunday, we talked about:

* President Obama intends to run against Congress this fall. Given that this might very well be the Worst Congress Ever, that's not an unreasonable strategy.

* Rick Santorum believes diversity “creates conflict.â€

On Sunday, we talked about:

* When it comes to job creation at Bain Capital, Mitt Romney and Mitt Romney's campaign are making two very different claims.

* Jon Huntsman is looking forward to the eventual reemergence of “a sane Republican Party.â€

We covered a fair amount of ground over the weekend. Here's a quick overview of what you may have missed.

On Sunday, we talked about:

* The religious right has found its man for 2012. For the movement's sake, it should have done this months ago.

* Stephen Colbert's Super PAC and I apparently have the same kind of sense of humor.

* If only John Bolton understood fighting al Qaeda as well as he thinks he does.

* The Europe-bashing in Republican circles is misguided on multiple levels.

* Good news for opponents of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA): it's been shelved, and appears dead for the year.

And on Saturday, we talked about:

* Mitt Romney has a new problem: he really does believe the economy is getting better, and that leaves him in a very awkward position.

* John Bolton wants to pick a fight over President Obama's handling of the strike on Osama bin Laden. That's a very dumb idea.

* Mitt Romney told South Carolinians he's “concerned about the poor in this country“, and “not terribly worried about the very wealthiest in our society.â€

We covered a fair amount of ground over the weekend. Here's a quick overview of what you may have missed.

On Sunday, we talked about:

* Mitt Romney looks like he's caving on tax returns, but there's a catch: he'll only disclose materials going back to 2010.

* With the eyes of the political world on Florida for the next nine days, which Republican presidential hopeful has the edge in the Sunshine State?

* How did Gingrich excel in South Carolina? The exit polls tell us quite a bit.

* A week ago, the race for the Republican presidential nomination had the benefit of simplicity. After Saturday's South Carolina primary, it's a lot more complicated.

And on Saturday, we talked about:

* Romney may have a problem that's just tough to fix: the more people see him, the more unfavorable their opinions of him.

* The entire GOP presidential field simply prefers to pretend that George W. Bush doesn't exist. There's no reason for the rest of us to go along.

* We're occasionally reminded that Mike Huckaee, for all of his alleged jovial charm, has a deeply ugly edge to his personality.

* In “This Week in God,â€
