Romney gets 47 or 48 percent, wins by 15 or 16 points.

Will Newt's money supply dry up now?  Hard to see how he can keep going, regardless of his vow to hang in there.

He will hang in for a while - I'll be surprised if he drops out before the March 6 primaries, but that will be his last hurrah.

What does he get out of it, ego considerations aside?

All he needs are his ego considerations.  I think he also likes to play the role of perpetual victim when he's not scoring points as the "smartest man in the room."

Newt's ego wn't let him give up until he puts on a wig and dress and the fat lady starts singing the blues.  I watched his speech tonight and he was all over the place.  Anyne who votes for him is voting out of sheer ignorance.

Was that the projection, gop? ~ there was a news blurb here that voting was lighter than expected ~

Newt's ego is running for VP even if Newt loses.

That's the results - it looks like probably around 1.8 million or so votes.  I'm not sure what they were expecting, but it's a decisive win.
