OMG. LMAO! You think you've heard it all and then this sort of crap comes your way:

The Cowboy Church of Virginia believes homosexuality and other addictions like self-harm and alcoholism can be cured with equine therapy
20 December 2012 | By Joe Morgan, Daniele Guido Gessa

An American church is promising gay men they will be cured of their homosexuality if they stroke horses.

The Cowboy Church of Virginia, led by chief pastor Raymond Bell, believes homosexuality and other ‘addictions’ can be cured by Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Horse therapy, in the right hands, can be used to help overcome fears, develop communication skills, and is generally beneficial to mental health.

But Bell says the horses in his church, a cowboy ranch in the south, are part of teaching men to stop being gay and encourage them to be more masculine.

I absolutely love the editorial remarks in this version which I've bolded and underlined:

For the dumbest proposed "cure" for homosexuality, mosey on down to The Cowboy Church of Virginia. Pastor Raymond Bell told Gay Star News that his Equine Assisted Psychotherapy will "help any person who is living the homosexual lifestyle or involved in it in any way," explaining that, "Homosexuality is actually a type of addiction. It is not 'curable' as a disease because it is a choice driven by the person." Likely with visions of the Marlboro man dancing in his head, Bell claims horses encourage men to act more masculine. Someone, please, send this guy a copy of "Brokeback Mountain" ASAP.

I hope the good pastor's stallions have enough compassion during the stroking.

Stroke the wrong horse and you will get kicked in the head. Obviously this pastor never saw Brokeback Mountain where the therapy backfired. They started off stroking their horses and wound up stroking.....well nevermind.
