this article was simply an interesting statement of facts until i hit this:

Problem is that dredging won't raise water levels, which is the real issue.

I dunno. If they dig deep enough, maybe they will hit water.

This is a fairly regular [not often, but recurring] occurrence with Lake Michigan ~ coupled with the opposite fears when waters are too high ~ high water is a bigger problem for those of us who live on the lakefront ~
