Last night I noticed that many of our avatars are actually coming from Yuku (like "http://sooz08.avatar.yuku.com/u" for crying out loud! :tongue ) and this slows down sometimes when yuku is really slow again the loading of our pages.

Do you guys mind if I copy those avatars to our server and change the links to match?
I would do that tonight.

I don't know if mine does that, but how would it affect those of us who occasionally bounce back go back to the Yuku place.

Not at all. When you're at yuku your avatar is pulled from their server. When here it will come from ours.
Yuku was obviously very slow last night andour pages took a while to load and when I looked at the task bar Voice was stuck at loading avatars from yuku

Already long done. Maybe 2 or 3 rarely posting members left.
What I basically did was saving the avatars linked to Yuku to my computer and then uploaded them to the respective profiles on our server. I even increased the maximum avatar file size so Jimwilliam's swinging hammock fits. :D

Now, if anyone wants to change their current avatars it's really easy to do that from within your profile pages. Download picture to own computer and then upload via profile page.
Much simpler than at Yuku.

I don't think I've visited my profile in this bb client. Do what ya' want. I don't store anything there. Just keep me in line with E=MC2! :hat

(edit) Check that... I did visit the profile initially. I had to coin my 'earthly' location!

I know. Some use images from other servers. I only did those linked via yuku since their servers are sometimes slow as molasses
