This mostly screams to me that Bill Engvall isn't sold out, but it's cute.
Federal employees out of work due to the government shutdown are being invited to come to Atlantic City.
Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort announced Wednesday that it will offer free tickets to see comedian Bill Engvall on Saturday night. Furloughed workers with valid work and photo identification can pick up two tickets to the show from the casino's box office after 3 p.m. Saturday.
The casino has 200 tickets available for the promotion. The federal government shut down just after midnight Tuesday morning when Congress failed to pass a resolution keeping the government funded. Even if a resolution is reached prior to Saturday night, the casino will still offer the tickets, a news release stated.
"We have a great show this weekend at the Taj, and we think that the federal employees affected by the shutdown could use a few laughs right about now," Trump Entertainment Resorts Senior Vice President of Marketing Kathleen McSweeney said in a written statement.
Engvall is a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars." His show at the Taj Mahal begins at 8 p.m. Saturday.
