Rafael Cruz: Gays stole ‘gay’ to advance their liberal agenda
By Travis Gettys
Tuesday, November 5, 2013 15:07 EST

The father of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) accused gays of stealing their preferred term to help further their agenda and demonize Christians.

Rafael Cruz, the Cuban-born evangelist and father of the likely 2016 presidential candidate, told the Grassroots America We The People group that liberals had twisted the meanings of words as part of their politically correct agenda.

“We have to stop acquiescing even to the wording that the liberals use,” said Cruz during an Oct. 19 event.

He complained that the left argues over abortion rights by defining the terms as “pro-life” and “pro-choice.” Cruz suggested the terms “pro-life” and “pro-death” or “pro-murder.”

Cruz also complained that gays had chosen another word besides homosexual to refer to themselves.

“Gay means happy,” he said. “It’s just trying to dilute it so it becomes socially acceptable, and if you say anything about homosexual marriage or anything, ‘Oh, you’re intolerant.’”

Cruz said conservatives were forced to “prostitute their principles on behalf of tolerance.”

“I’ll tell you what: There are absolutes,” he told the group. “Start being biblically correct instead of politically correct.”

Ted Cruz’s dad: God loves the death penalty!
Rafael Cruz says to ignore "all those people ... with their violins" who advocate mercy.
Elias Isquith

According to Ted Cruz’s father, the evangelical pastor Rafael Cruz, you’ll find no bigger fan of the death penalty than the big guy upstairs.

“You know, the Bible is so clear,” Cruz told a crowd, according to the Huffington Post. “Go to Genesis chapter nine and you will find the death penalty clearly stated in Genesis chapter nine … God ordains the death penalty!”

Cruz cautioned against listening to “all these people that want to come home with their violins to tell you, ‘Oh, we need to show mercy.’” God, according to Cruz, isn’t so into mercy.

More from the Huffington Post:

On the subject of mass shootings on school campuses, Cruz blamed Democrats who have lobbied for gun control in response to the atrocities.

“Look at all the massacres that we’ve had in the last year or two that the left is using to try to tell us that we need to control guns. Every one of those was in a gun-free zone,” Cruz said, amid exclamations of “Amen!” and “Exactly!” from the audience.

“You want to eliminate school massacres? Have the teachers carry [guns]! … How stupid can you be?” Cruz said. An audience member answered, “It’s doggone stupid!”

Cruz also spoke at length against same-sex marriage, arguing, “It was Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.”

"How stupid can you be?”

Indeed, Mr. Cruz.

Rafael Cruz: Atheism leads to child molestation and perversity
By David Ferguson
Wednesday, November 13, 2013 10:24 EST

In an appearance before a gathering of OK2A, an Oklahoma Second Amendment advocacy group, Rafael Cruz, father of freshman Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said that atheism leads to sexual abuse of children.

In his talk, which took place earlier this month, the elder Cruz railed against atheism and secular humanism, which he said are two of the main ills facing our society.

“Let’s look, for example, at the behavioral consequences of these two foundations,” Cruz said to the group. “Well, if there is nothing, if there is no God, then we are ruled by our instincts.”

“There is no moral absolute, which means we operate by situational ethics,” he said, “which unfortunately is something being taught in every high school in America.”

Situational ethics, explained Cruz, maintain “that right and wrong depends on the situation. In other words, it’s a moral relativism.”

Because atheists believe in doing whatever they want, and if there are no moral absolutes, then there will be nothing but moral anarchy, he said.

“Do we know any politicians that have done that?” he asked.

“Hitler!” volunteered Larry Pratt of the organization Gun Owners of America, who was in the audience.

“Oh, we don’t have to go that far, Larry,” said Cruz. “Just go to Washington. Just go to the White House.”

“Of course, this leads us, when there are no moral absolutes,” he went on, “leads us to sexual immorality, leads us to sexual abuse, leads us to perversion and, of course, no hope. No hope!”

no, it is not. relativism is ethically invalid.

furthermore, situational ethics is teleological and primarily CHRISTIAN:

it is also UTILITARIAN, concerned with the greatest good.

the elder Cruz doesn't have the foggiest idea what he is talking about. he is making this stuff up out of whole cloth.

So, by extension then, "like father, like son" also works as "like son, like father" ~ :ey
