Pastafarian politician takes oath of office wearing colander on his head

Christopher Schaeffer, a Pastafarian minister, took his oath of office to join the Pomfret Town Board in New York while sporting the kitchen utensil. 'This may be the first openly Pastafarian sworn into office. For sure, the first to be sworn in wearing a colander,' said faith follower Bobby Henderson. :bow2

"It's just a statement about religious freedom," he told reporter Greg Fox of the Observer in Dunkirk.

He has a screw loose, and this won't be an isolated incident. He'll exhibit many more bizarre behaviors. Watch, next he'll show up to city council meetings wearing a Star Trek uniform.

He won't be re-elected to a second term.

I know all about that group. I'm an atheist, remember?

I'm telling you, this guy has a screw loose. He's not all there.

I don't know if he has a screw loose or not, but western NY is not demographically the same as NYC.

So we've got one guy who gets sworn in while wearing a colander and another who resigns in Klingon....and they're the ones who are more interested in fixing pot holes than if an appropriately robed preacher can say a prayer before council meetings.
