New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is denying personal knowledge of the plan his office set in motion to temporarily close lanes on the George Washington Bridge as political payback to gridlock a New Jersey town whose Democratic mayor did not support Christie's reelection.

Do you believe Gov. Christie had knowledge of it while it was being planned?

Please vote in the poll and discuss.

I voted "yes". I believe he knew of the plan while it was being planned.

Voted yes, but as I said in sooz's thread, shit rolls downhill. Always. Plausible deniability.

I voted no, because it was more of a "culture of the administration" issue.

He's toast now and would never have won anyway.

I voted "yes" ~ we've all seen/read about his bullying tactics on others ~ so I see this as just business-as-usual and believe he either knew of the specific plan or just ordered "get it done" in terms of "retaliation" ~

Kath, in our "... The Christie Bridge Scandal", in post #2 I commented: "I know no one is capable of knowing everything that others do 24/7/365 ~ but frankly, to my way of thinking, a good leader takes responsibility for anything that happens on her/his watch" ~ so I'm curious who you see as responsible for the "culture of the administration" ~

If he didn't know, he's weak. If he did know, he's as manipulative as any other politician. Yep, he knew.

Of course he knew. Regardless of the business or organization, no one would employ such a stunt without the boss' knowledge and permission.

Watch Jon Stewart's clip from last night. On I-pad, can't link but he says it all.

"Responsible for" is very different from "knowledge of", which is the poll question.
