No wonder I didn't see it break the horizon....

I have a pretty good view of the horizon when rockets launch from Wallop's Island space center on the outer coast of Virginia. The launch, which was a resupply mission to the International space station, was scrapped yesterday due to a boat in the restricted area off the coast. The launch was rescheduled for tonight at 6:22 EST with a narrow 10 minute window. The result can be seen below... As of the time of this post, no one is believed to injured on the ground. This was an unmanned flight... I hate to see setbacks for NASA related projects. I love the idea of furthering our space exploration and hold out hope we will discover not only life outside of our planet, but an ability to reach a discovered distant planet.... Set backs to the program hamper the funding for R&D to discover both...

I don't get mad at the people, I get mad at the situation!

Time for the team to head to the nearest library and check out Wernher Van Braun's literature :D

Nobody hurt, mac. We watched it live, ready to dash outside and see if we could catch a glimpse of it after liftoff.

I feel especially bad for all the students who had experiments going up. First the scrubbed launch on Monday, then BOOM. :(
