Florida man stuffs chainsaw down his pants in shoplifting case


A Florida man was caught on tape shoving a chainsaw down his shorts in a bizarre shoplifting incident late last month in a lawn equipment store in Port St. Lucie, TCPalm reported.

Surveillance video recently released by Port St. Lucie police shows Anthony Ballard, 27, grabbing the chainsaw, stuffing it down his pants behind a shelf and leaving the store.

As employees chased after Ballard, he ditched the saw in a wooded lot. When Ballard later returned to look for it in the woods, he was spotted by employees who called police.

Ballard was arrested and booked on a grand theft charge.

When it comes to stupidity, he's a thief who is a cut above the rest. Running or not the teeth on those things are sharp. I wonder if the prison choir needs a soprano.

Lucky for him he got caught, not smart enough to use a chainsaw, probably saved his life.
