This year is in the running to be the hottest globally and for the UK since records began, early estimates show.

In the first 10 months of 2014, global average air temperature was about 0.57 Celsius above the long-term average.

Nonsense. And I can prove it.
It's supposed to be -12C tomorrow night.

After our last horrible winter, it's finally "normal" this year.

A few days of snow, -20C with -30C wind chills, then a nice Chinook. According to Environment Canada, it's going to be sunny and +13 next week. Woohoo! I hope this pattern holds. Last winter we had snow on the ground from October to June. No strong Chinooks, no melting. It was brutal and depressing.
