I took a much needed break from Yuku forums and didn't pay as much attention to the news (even avoided Jon Stewart for a time).

Not that I expected any improvement, but it almost seems like things have gotten crazier.

Anyway, I thought I'd try posting again here (don't think I'll be visiting CEII though).

I hope all the good people on VoC are doing well.

The world isn't crazier but the media is more complicit in encouraging the crazies in the pursuit of ratings.

While I agree the media [and technology in general] plays an enormous role, I'm not sure I agree that "the world isn't crazier" ~ there are far more people today with far more mental/emotional challenges that erupt into troubling/dangerous/lethal behavior patterns ... coupled with dwindling services and $$$ for adequate treatment ~
