Baby It's Cold Outside pulled by radio station, citing #MeToo

It's a Christmas classic probably being played in shops and radio stations all over the world.

But a radio station in Cleveland, Ohio has decided to remove Baby It's Cold Outside from its playlist following complaints from listeners.

Local media report that listeners said the song was inappropriate and at odds with the #MeToo movement.

My Boss and I had this conversation. After some research, I told him that in context of the decade (the 40's) the woman's protests were for show so that she wasn't considered "loose". She was really not saying "no" and in the end when they sing together it's obvious. He still doesn't buy that.

I'm sure there are worse lyrics than in that song.

Have to admit I'd never heard this until yesterday - all I can say is we regularly read about teachers that end up in jail for behavior like this.

It is absurd and takes away from real incidents. Why are there people who have to take everything to an extreme and cloud serious issues.

Would be funny if not so possible.
