You've got to wonder about these right wing thought processes. According to Judge Jeanine, Ilhan Omar can't be a loyal American because she's Muslim and wears a hijab. She's entirely forgotten that the man who is a heartbeat away from the presidency and likely puts a bellows to the dying ashes of her cindery old heart has publicly bragged that his loyalty to the United States is secondary to his loyalty to his religion.

She is so off the rails I have no clue how she became a judge - of course though, the republican base loves her thinking she is a judge so it gives their views credibility.

Both Jeanine Pirro and Tucker Carlson are giving the Fox bigwigs BIG headaches with their nonstop bigotry and/or misogyny ~ advertisers are threatening to leave if both aren't fired or tightly muzzled ~

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro Loses at Least 3 Advertisers Amid Backlash
Jeremy Barr / The Hollywood Reporter / 4 hrs ago

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro's Saturday night show has already lost at least three corporate advertisers after she said on her March 9 broadcast that Muslim congresswoman Ilhan Omar is "Sharia-compliant" because she wears a traditional hijab head covering.

Letgo, an online marketplace for selling used items that advertised on Saturday's episode of Justice w/ Judge Jeanine, will not run ads on her show again.

"We absolutely condemn Ms. Pirro’s comments, which are offensive and completely contrary to our values," a spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday afternoon. "We are in the process of ensuring our ads will no longer run during her show."

Personal finance company NerdWallet, which also advertised on Saturday's show, told THR on Monday that it is stopping: "We're no longer advertising on this show and don't have plans to in the future." (The company also pulled ads from Tucker Carlson's show in December 2018, after he said that immigration makes America "dirtier.")

Later on Monday, Novo Nordisk, which advertises the diabetes medicine Ozempic on Pirro's show, said it is "pausing" the campaign. "At Novo Nordisk, we advertise across many cable networks to raise awareness of our medicines and the disease they treat," the company said. "We respect each person’s right to express their thinking and beliefs, however, we are reevaluating our advertising on this program at this time.”

[Short videos (via Washington Post) accessible via end link.]

Fox News "strongly" condemned Pirro's comments in a rare statement on Sunday night, saying that "they do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly.” (The company's statement is unchanged for this story.)

Pirro, in her own statement, denied that she called Omar "un-American," adding, "My intention was to ask a question and start a debate, but of course because one is Muslim does not mean you don’t support the Constitution."

She also invited Omar to appear on a show. When asked if the congresswoman would take up on her offer, a spokesperson for Omar did not respond.

Carlson's show is also facing renewed backlash from advertisers after the progressive advocacy group Media Matters published transcripts and audio of offensive comments he made during radio show appearances between 2006 and 2011.

SHEEX, a bedding and sleepwear company that has long been one of Carlson's biggest advertisers, announced on Tuesday that it will no run ads on his show. "Our advertising placement should never be construed as an endorsement of the views of any individual, program content, or network," the company said. "However, due to the inappropriate statements of Tucker Carlson that have recently come to light, SHEEX has made the decision to cease advertising on his television program, Tucker Carlson Tonight."

It's good that some corporations have the ethics and morality to pull their ads from Fox programs, but it seems like there's always more to take their place.

I don't believe Fox would have had the cojones to "suspend" her if the advertisers didn't pull their ads ~ :ey ~ Sooz

Jeanine Pirro is off the air at Fox News
By Brian Stelter, CNN Business / 20 hrs ago

Jeanine Pirro was off the air at Fox News on Saturday, one week after she was widely denounced for doubting Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's patriotism.

Last Saturday night Pirro questioned whether Omar's Islamic religious beliefs stand in opposition to the US Constitution, prompting Fox to say "we strongly condemn Jeanine Pirro's comments."

The network said at the time that the views Pirro expressed "do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly" — but declined to say if she was being sanctioned in any way.

Several advertisers subsequently distanced themselves from Pirro's weekly show, called "Justice."

The show did not appear on this weekend's cable schedule guide. In its place was an unusual repeat of a documentary series.

Pirro has not said anything about taking a vacation. She hasn't tweeted since last weekend. All together, the circumstances suggest that she has been suspended by Fox in the wake of her comments.

But if she has been suspended, Fox is not saying so. A network spokeswoman said "we are not commenting on internal scheduling matters."

There is no word on whether Pirro's show will return next week.

At the same time, there is no indication that she has been fired from Fox. She is one of the network's highest-rated weekend hosts, well known for her vehement defenses of President Trump and attacks against his perceived enemies.

Last week Pirro targeted Omar — one of the few Muslim members of Congress — by noting Omar's religious head-covering called a hijab.

"Think about it: Omar wears a hijab," Pirro said. "Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?"

Among many other critics, a Fox News staffer pushed back on Pirro's statements. Hufsa Kamal, a producer on Fox's "Special Report with Bret Baier," tweeted: "@JudgeJeanine can you stop spreading this false narrative that somehow Muslims hate America or women who wear a hijab aren't American enough? You have Muslims working at the same network you do, including myself."

When Fox condemned Pirro, she also issued a statement. She did not apologize. She said she intended to "ask a question and start a debate."

"Of course because one is Muslim does not mean you don't support the Constitution," she said. "I invite Rep. Omar to come on my show any time to discuss all of the important issues facing America today."

Omar did not answer that invitation, but she thanked Fox News for rebuking Pirro.

I generally agree, oskar ~ but I have a problem when ANY media outlet willingly/knowingly broadcasts obvious bigotry without identifying it as bigotry [which Fox entities excel at] ~

Fox News is pulling Jeanine Pirro’s show off the air for second straight week: report
Dominique Jackson / 21 Mar 2019 at 17:22 ET

Fox host Jeanine Pirro’s show “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” has been pre-empted for a second week.

Pirro came under scrutiny from the public and the network after she made hateful remarks aimed at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). Her comments were criticized as Islamophobic.

“The network has declined to confirm or deny on Pirro’s status. When ‘Justice’ was pre-empted last Saturday, Fox said ‘we’re not commenting on internal scheduling matters,'” reported CNN.

They are probably just waiting for it to all die down, and maybe sneak her back in. Wait and see how the wind blows, and a bag of wind she certainly is!

You would almost think Fox had developed a conscience or something. Especially after last week in New Zealand. The delay in reinstating her probably stems from more banal reasoning though. Advertisers are abandoning her faster than Grabem can scarf a Big Mac.

Jeanine Pirro rages against Fox News — and admits she was suspended from the network
Written by Matthew Chapman / Raw Story / September 4, 2019

On Tuesday, Fox News host Jeanine Pirro furiously criticized her network during a radio interview with alt-right former President Donald Trump aide Sebastian Gorka — and publicly confirmed, for the first time, that the network suspended her for hate speech.

“You know Fox reviews everything. They’re unbelievable,” she thundered, noting that the network is prohibiting her from going onto several other conservative talk shows. “You know what, they suspended me. And I’m not going to get fired. You know I’m worried that that suspension was the basis to tee up for anything I do wrong, they’ll fire me.”

Pirro, a former prosecutor and county judge in New York who hosts “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” was temporarily pulled off the air in March after an inflammatory tirade against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). “Think about it: Omar wears a hijab,” said Pirro. “Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?”

CNN reported at the time that Fox News rebuked her for her comments. This is, however, the first time that Pirro has publicly confirmed that her disappearance from the air was a punishment for that incident.
