From today's Daily Beast "Cheat Sheet" ~ this is how a con man's [alleged] mind works ~ while I hate to do so, I begrudgingly note he says "fix" before "rebranding" ~ :eek ~ Sooz

Trump: If I Was in Charge, I'd Simply Change the Name of Boeing 737 Max Planes

Donald Trump has offered some unsolicited advice to Boeing, saying that if he was in charge he would simply sort the company's problems by fixing its faulty 737 Max airplanes and then sneakily changing the model's name. In a tweet which he appeared to believe displayed some level of expertise, the president said the best way out of the company's crisis would be to rebadge the 737 Max planes. “What do I know about branding, maybe nothing (but I did become President!), but if I were Boeing, I would FIX the Boeing 737 MAX, add some additional great features, & REBRAND the plane with a new name,” wrote the president, using capital letters to emphasize his favorite parts of the very obvious plan. “No product has suffered like this one. But again, what the hell do I know?” Believe it or not, but Boeing has already thought of fixing the plane's faults—it's rolling out a software fix for the automated system linked to two crashes. Let's see if they follow the president's advice with a sneaky name change.

The internet scorches Trump for lighthearted tweet about Boeing plane crashes: ‘A whole lot of people died!’
Travis Gettys / 15 Apr 2019 at 07:28 ET

President Donald Trump tweeted out a lighthearted suggestion for “rebranding” the Boeing 737 MAX following two fatal crashes, and other social media users were horrified.

The president spent much of the previous day tweeting about Tiger Woods winning the Masters golf tournament, and he started Monday with a self-deprecating suggestion for the troubled aircraft manufacturer.

No product has suffered like this one. But again, what the hell do I know?

The aircraft was grounded worldwide last month after a fatal crash on Ethiopian Airlines that killed all 157 aboard, five months after a crash on Lion Air that killed all 189 passengers and crew.

“No product has suffered like this one.” A whole lot of people died when these planes crashed, but sure let’s talk about how Boeing’s MAX has suffered.

Next time let’s elect a president with some shreds of empathy and humanity, shall we? https://t.co/673BEGkbpa

They could rename it the Trump and brag about it having the bigliest most tremendous crashes. There will never be crashes like the crashes of the Trump Plane.

His suggestion on this alone should be enough to put a knife in the bowels of the pumpkin pervert's brand. Anybody thinking of buying something with the Trump name on it should think twice. Not only has be been bankrupted gosh knows how many times his idea of fixing a problem (ie: something they bought from him) is to simply rename it and carry on. It's like Ford trying to sell Pintos simply by changing the name to Stallion.

Well, he did have an airline. Of course Trump Shuttle "crashed" before any of the planes did.

Luckily for any passengers who may have been stupid enough to sign-on. Given it's fate there doesn't seem to have been too many of those.

Those who bought his steaks also escaped an inglorious fate. If folks had started developing ptomaine from them, he would simply have rebranded them as Trump's Bigliest Cleansing System.

I actually flew the Trump Shuttle once. Okay but not exceptional.

I had to make to NYC for a presentation and the only flight I could get was to Boston. So Boston it was and then the Trump Shuttle to NYC. The interior of the plane looked flashy but it was hardly exceptional. But for a short flight who cares - all that mattered is that I got there.
