"We're going to win so much that you're going to be sick and tired. You're going to say, 'Please, Mr. President, we're sick and tired of winning.'" ~ Trump, 2016

He's absolutely right. A quarter of a million dead. Unemployment reaching heights not seen since 2008. Surrendering to the Taliban in Afghanistan. Iran back on track to develop nuclear weapons. Divisiveness rampant in the country. The whole country an international laughing stock and pariah with the least influence it has ever had. It's no wonder everybody is sick of his winning.

Asia form world's biggest trade bloc, a China-backed group excluding U.S

HANOI (Reuters) - Fifteen Asia-Pacific economies formed the world's largest free trade bloc on Sunday, a China-backed deal that excludes the United States, which had left a rival Asia-Pacific grouping under President Donald Trump.

The signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) at a regional summit in Hanoi, is a further blow to the group pushed by former U.S. president Barack Obama, which his successor Trump exited in 2017.

Amid questions over Washington's engagement in Asia, RCEP may cement China's position more firmly as an economic partner with Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea, putting the world's second-biggest economy in a better position to shape the region's trade rules.

The United States is absent from both RCEP and the successor to the Obama-led Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), leaving the world's biggest economy out of two trade groups that span the fastest-growing region on earth.

Trump’s coal rescue was doomed from the beginning

Coal giant Peabody Energy emerged from a near-death trip through bankruptcy in April 2017, just in time to benefit from President Donald Trump’s efforts to revive coal country.

Trump’s improbable rise to the presidency was made possible in part by his even more improbable promise to save the beleaguered coal industry.

“We’ll start winning, winning, winning, and you are going to be very proud, and for those miners, get ready because you’re going to be working your asses off!” then-candidate Trump told West Virginia in May 2016.
