Stepdad (83) got his 2nd dose of vaccine last week. Says he felt fine overall, maybe just a little more tired for a day but it's hard to tell at his age. lol

Trump Was Sicker Than Acknowledged With Covid-19
When he was hospitalized with the coronavirus in October, his blood oxygen levels had plunged and officials feared he was on the verge of being placed on a ventilator.

Which only further underlines how little he cares about anyone- having gone through it himself he still didn't care if anyone else went through that. And died. Even when he could have saved thousands with just a few simple words.

The Dan David Foundation recognized Dr. Anthony Fauci for "courageously defending science in the face of uninformed opposition during the challenging COVID crisis"

"As the COVID-19 pandemic unraveled, [Fauci] leveraged his considerable communication skills to address people gripped by fear and anxiety and worked relentlessly to inform individuals in the United States and elsewhere about the public health measures essential for containing the pandemic's spread," the foundation said, applauding Fauci for "speaking truth to power in a highly charged political environment."

Disgraceful! Unbelievable he is not called on it. What have we become that a statement like that is made with out a thought or fear of how they come across. It stuns me the acceptable lack of empathy and cruelty in today's Republican party by its leaders and constituents. .

Nothing surprising here ....

Florida’s governor in hot water over alleged vaccine-for-campaign cash scandal

In a shocking, but hardly surprising report, the Republican Governor of Florida got caught selling vaccines to some of the state’s wealthiest country club residents while those who don’t donate, including minority communities and communities that vote Democratic, are getting left behind.

Florida Governor Ron Desantis (R) got exposed by Miami’s largest newspaper for ...

Wy is the U.S. holding back on Astra Zeneca. We're back to getting it here. I know there was a problem in Europe when it may have been implicated in something like 30 bloodclotting episodes our of about 3,000,000 doses (which is less than could be expected among people who hadn't had the vaccine). I got it a couple of weeks ago and didn't even get a sore arm let alone any other side effects.

The MLB's Texas Rangers welcomed back baseball fans at 100% capacity for their home opener against the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday.
The crowd of 38,238 was announced as a sellout as the Texas Rangers hosted the first major U.S. pro sports event to approach capacity in a stadium since the coronavirus shutdown more than a year ago.

The team's website states that all fans will be required to wear a mask, except when actively eating or drinking, and that safe distancing will be enforced in concession lines and retail locations.
