Caught part of a newscast - they were interviewing people and one woman did the usual "all we want is choice" but when the interviewer pointed out that there was a recent election and that's how leaders are chosen in a democracy she got very defensive and said (in so many words) that she didn't believe in democracy - unfortunately the interviewer didn't ask her what she did believe in. Just went on to the next guy who said that he wanted to be a police officer, applied and "didn't quite make it" but now he was glad that was the case.

One of the so-called "leaders" was apparently on Tucker Carlson. Fact is, he ran away from Ottawa shortly after telling the occupiers to "hold the line".

Edit: High five to the police forces for their methodical and disciplined response.

Quiet in Ottawa this morning.

FOX lied. No one died.

It didn't end well for the occupiers.

As the convoy chaos ends, it’s time to play the blame game

Canada is a worse place than it was four weeks ago because of the “Freedom Convoy” debacle.


And there’s plenty of blame to go around. But in assigning responsibility for the nightmare we’ve just endured, it’s important to rank those responsible by degree of culpability for the divisions they’ve caused or deepened in our population, the degrading of public discourse, the tremendous costs incurred, the diminished faith in public institutions and the international embarrassment Canada has suffered.

Above all, we should distinguish between those who must shoulder the blame for promoting and perpetrating wrongful behaviour, and those who merely failed in their duty to respond effectively to the wrongdoing.

With that in mind, here’s a list of who deserves ...

Freedom Convoy organizers Lich, Barber facing new charges

Two prominent organizers of the 'Freedom Convoy' occupation of downtown Ottawa are facing new criminal charges.

Tamara Lich and Chris Barber are now jointly charged with mischief, counselling mischief, intimidation, counselling intimidation, counselling obstruction of police and obstructing police.

Both were arrested on Feb. 17, a day before police began moving in to clear demonstrators from downtown Ottawa streets.

Barber was released on bail the next day. Lich was released on bail on March 7.

MPP Hillier granted bail as he faces 9 charges related to Ottawa convoy protest

After turning himself in on charges related to the convoy protest and occupation in downtown Ottawa, Randy Hillier was released on bail with conditions Monday.

Ottawa police charged the Independent Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston MPP, saying they had complaints "about social media posts and other activities of an individual" during the so-called Freedom Convoy.

The charges include assaulting a peace or public officer, two counts of obstructing or resisting a public officer, one count of obstructing or resisting someone aiding a public or peace officer, three counts of counselling an uncommitted indictable offence, two of them considered mischief, and two counts of mischief or obstructing property exceeding $5,000.
