I watched this film today ~ George Clooney is his gorgeous self ~ but the two daughters, especially the 17yo, gave standout performances ~ the film moves slowly, some will say too slowly ~ but I thought the slowness allowed time to reflect on both the storyline and the characterizations ~ and the Hawaii scenery is as luscious as I remember it ~ I thought it was a sensitive and thoughtful film of a father learning some hard facts, facing a crisis decision, and how the family copes ~
