Watched a new show last night, Motive ~ it's on ABC here in the US, but premiered in Canada and is carried on CTV ~ I'm not sure if it's a summer replacement or is being tested for a full season here, but I'm pretty sure it's been picked up for a 2d season in Canada ~ it's based in Vancouver ~ it's a few steps above the typical cop procedural drama, with the main female role being a single-mother homicide detective ~ unusual for the genre, both the victim and perp are identified early in the show and then the storyline reverts to crime/investigation ~ the acting is somewhat uneven, but the two main detectives [one female, one male] have good working chemistry ~ the story line was very good, with many twists and turns ~ I'll watch it again this week ~ based on last night's rerun, I'd rate it a B- or B ~ certainly better than a LOT of other TV ~

I've watched a few episodes. I agree. Wish that Lauren Holly played the lead, instead of the ME. I loved her in NCIS!
