Woke up today and stumbled upon this documentary (on Showtime) about the making of the "American Idiot" musical.

WHAT A BLAST!!!! I just couldn't stop grinning. Check it out if you can.

Although I didn't really "know" Green Day, I recognized a lot of their music. Probably from tv shows like Grey's Anatomy.

I am 50 minutes into the 80 minute documentary. FRIGGIN FAN TASTIC!!! I'd love, love, love to see the production. I've laughed, but even more, I've had goose bumps and cried being moved by the music and the production. It reminded me of how I felt seeing two other productions. Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar.

:happydance Just so much fun to watch! Let's head to Broadway, roseanne!

I'm not a huge Green Day fan but I've always enjoyed what I heard. I think the first time I really noticed a song of theirs was on the series "ER"-they used "Good Riddance/Time of your Life" in an episode.

I don't specifically recall that ER episode, but I do know they've used it a lot on other shows.
