Has anyone read this series of books bye Diana Gabaldon? The ladies at the hair salon were RAVING about them. They say you have a hard time putting them down.

I read one reviewer who said that when she is sitting at an outdoor café reading (with the stack of books beside her) and people ask her about the book, she says "Hard to describe. Pick one up and open it. Read any 3 pages and you'll be hooked or I'll pay you $1.00" She's never had to pay.
