I love the way many tv shows or movies slyly slip in references to other tv shows/movies/character. It's always very subtle and you have to be paying attention.

I watch a show "Chasing Life". Two actors in it are Steven Weber and Rebecca Schull. They both were major characters on "Wings" in the 90's. On the latest episode of "Chasing Life" Steven Weber and another actor are trying to find a flight. She says "I've never even heard of this airline. Sandpiper?" The name of the airline from "Wings".. Loved it!
