roseanne, jab, and I got that message a few times yesterday ~ according to jab, that's a data base error ~ not our data base, but the service provider's ~ it usually clears quickly ~ jab's advice is to refresh the browser ~ and that worked for us ~ hopefully, jab will provide more info when he sees this thread ~ if he doesn't, I'll nag him ~

That error pops up when a connection times out at Dreamhosts database servers.
Sooz should contact DreamHost support and ask them to increase the connect_timeout in the MySQL server configuration file.

BTW, I did file a support email ~ got a response very quickly ~ they checked our log, see no problem, and had no problem accessing our group ~ they asked for more info, which I provided in a reply email ~ I'll post again when I hear back ~
