Do you know anything about ereaders? I'm trying to download a LEGAL book purchase from chapters onto my husband's hipstreet ereader. Its copyright protected, which means you have to download this urllink first, then, if you have this adobe digital additions program, is supposed to automatically prompt you to put in a password and then it will magically download your book. but so far, all the urllink has done is lamely sit in my download file and refuse to be opened. I'm pretty sure part of the problem is that I downloaded it before I downloaded the adobe digital additions program, but now I'm not sure what to do.

Goddamn husband and his obscure book desires. If he didn't want something so recent, I probably could have found it on pirate bay. grrrrr.....

and stupid chapters. who makes it harder to download a legal purchase than it is to download illegally?

I have emailed chapters help--who sent me to kobo help--I suspect they are going to tell me to f off because I don't own an ereader made by their company.

greeny, I'm thinking it's worth trying to delete the url from your download file, click out of that file so the deletion registers, and then redownload the url now that you have the adobe digital additions program ~ it could have been a timing issue ~ and/or occasionally downloads get corrupted along the way ~

I finally managed to get the adobe digital systems to open and download the book. Now, anyone have any idea how to get the book into my hipstreet? Considering that you can't open it until I manage to get the adobe digital systems onto the hipstreet as well?
