Maybe I've been living in a fog for the past however many days, but I just noticed that our WONDERFUL BRILLIANT BULL-DOG [and apparently MODEST] Jabra has added both an "msnbc" and a "Rachel" button in our coding options! ~ I haven't tried either yet, but I will today ~ one question for Jab: does it work the same way the "video" button works? ~ iow, do we use the url on the clip?

Okay ~ the url on the videos doesn't change from the url to the Rachel and msnbc sites ~ and when I/we right-click on the video itself, no "properties" choice comes up ~ so ... please explain how we post from those sites ~

That's all I needed today to get me on the right track!

The hard part is to find the number of the video clip.
You'll have to copy MSNBC's embed code which looks like this:

The number you're looking for is the one in red above.
Hit BBCode [rachel] and insert that number between [rachel][/rachel]

Just noticed the rachel bbcode works really for all MSNBC videos. See above example with "Nightly News"

Yes.
What I did, pasted the embed code in a reply window, searched for and copied the "launch=" number, highlight the embed code and paste the "number", in this video it's 53816849
Then highlight the number and hit bbcode rachel. Voila!

Jab, WHEN YOU HAVE TIME, will you please take a look at the coding for videos posted on MaddowBlog? ~ for the past few days, I go thru the steps outlined above but "launching=" is "not found" when I do a search on the "view source" ~ and the "embed code" [via the "embed" button] is for iframes ~

I'm still having the same problem, jab ~ I'm right-clicking on the video and going to the "source" to search for "launch=" ~ it only occasionally works when a clip is in a thread, but it never works on the clips that open the blog site [above the first post] ~ have you had a chance to take a look at this?
