K...I'm playing once again. Is there a way to add a flash player, then insert a video and post?? I've seen flash players inserted into articles but assumed they were linked back to their origin. I'm looking to do it from scratch.

In a post you mean? Or on your profile?

I know how to do it in a post. Just go to the top bar and click on the flash icon (the little arrow beside the smiley face) and then go into google and click on the video you want. It'll just go into your post.

I'm not sure how to do them on your profile. I think Jab knows, but he does his some odd way. Some of the others probably know...

You want to post your own video?
Upload it to YouTube and then insert the flash player here.
If you don't like Yuku's way, I can make you your own video widget...Image

I suppose I could post it on google, hadn't thought of that, but figured there had to be a way to post the HTML with the video embedded.

You would need a server hosting your video file to begin with.
You will need to convert your video into a FLV file, upload it to your server, probably pay a little extra for the huge jump in bandwidth, and you're good to go with any of the freely available flash player scripts.
I should have the Macromedia video encoder somewhere if you get started by getting your hosting set up.

Otherwise Youtube is your friend.

Looks like I'll be be-friending google or something.....I down loaded the HTML for a player and converter for the video, but couldn't figure out how to embed the video and get it posted...failed on several attempts.

Where do you have the video file? On your computer or hosted on a server?

There's your problem. The internet tubes don't know how to connect to your hard drive.
I could throw up some upload thingy on my server where the internet tubes can connect then. Your idea would work until my host charges me extra for the added bandwidth. Image
