Geez... yesterday I was "advised" to attempt installing my 12-year-old printer on my nice new Win 7 64 bit machine.  According to this tech guy "Microsoft has an extensive driver library for Win 7.  It should install with no problem."

Famous last words....

First off the bat... yes the driver did install.  Yes... the printer did show up and the driver opened in Word when I went to print.

But that's as good as it got.  The printer wouldn't spool.  In other words... the printer wouldn't work.

OK.... so shut down - disconnect the printer and uninstall the driver... no biggy... I need a new printer anyway....

Now we come to today where it turns out the new driver corrupted a system file "spoolsv.dll".... My system froze on several occassions - video driver crashed - all kinds of gremlins started coming out of the woodwork.  So... I had to do something I've never had to do before: System Restore.  That's all done now and it remains to be seen if the "spoolsv.dll" file that was put in by the driver installation has been restored to it's original default as supplied by Win 7.

GRRRRRRRRRRR!

Well then, system restore it is.

Back to watching via my security camera my neutered male dog humping my female dog in heat.
He's neutered since he was a puppy yet he knows all the right moves. That's my doggie!
