Huh?
The drive is a sata - I figured I better stick with the same type of drive as the one that's already in there, but it's 500gb (Seagate Barracuda).
I had to shut down the computer to find out about the bios -' Phoenix Rom bios plus version 1.10 A05".
The message I get on the bios screen when I turn the computer on is "drive not found, serial ATA, SATA-0", then have to either hit F1, which starts the Ubuntu grub on the old hard drive, or F2 to do a setup.
I figured I could install both XP and Ubuntu on the new drive for a dual boot. So I would also need some advice about partitioning/formatting the hard drive.
