I think it's brilliant. Attracts publicity, probabay offers of food and lodging.....and other "offers" we don't discuss in polite company. I LOVE the way people stop him to chat.

When I lived in Jasper, I stayed at the Jasper Free Camp one summer. There was this tall, skinny, bearded guy with really long hair who camped there every year - his nick name was "Sasquatch".

He would roll around naked in the mud banks of the river and run out to the highway to scare the tourists driving by. What he got instead was line-ups of tourists taking his picture because they thought he was a real Sasquatch.
