TRUE OR FALSE, TRUE OR FALSE?

Coffee is the best beverage ever invented by Homo Sapiens.

Hmm. You sure can't beat that first cup of coffee in the morning. Unless it's the cup of tea in the afternoon. Or a cup of hot chocolate when you come in from the cold. Or a good chug of beer on a hot day listening to baseball on the radio. Or a glass of wine with your girlfriends. Or ....

False, I think. I could skip my morning coffee although I wouldn't want to be around me for a while. I don't think I could go without my iced tea.

Awww, coffee, How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

In a nutshell, it is so good it should be illegal.

Probably true, although beer would get the nod if you could brew it fresh and drink it hot at breakfast.

Coffee and chocolate, what else could you ask for?

I'd add red wine to that list, pic ~ Image

I love coffee, but I generally only drink it in the morning ~ or occasionally after a big dinner with a slug of Kahlua ~ Costco's own Mountain Brand Columbian has become my coffee-of-choice ~ and I'm not big on flavored coffee ~

The best beverage is clearly tea.
It's just a shame some folks had a hissy fit over paying the tax on it and then had to make do with coffee. Image

Me either. Just give it to me straight with no fancy schmancy additives except maybe some nice cream or half&half. I don't even like sugar in my coffee (although I do love coffee ice cream). And it has to be boiling hot - no iced coffee for me!

Yuk on the very idea of flavoured coffee. I like mine strong, sugarless and black. Image

I like flavored coffee, but only if I'm drinking it in the afternoon or evening (like as a dessert after dinner). I don't like flavored coffee for breakfast. For breakfast, it must be a strong, dark roast with a skimpy spoon of sugar and a splash of milk. I can drink it black if necessary (i.e., the milk is sour), but don't like it that way as much. Given the choice between sugar and milk, I'd rather have milk and no sugar than sugar and no milk. Unless it's espresso...then as long as it's a good, smooth roast, nothing added for me.

I'm with AQ here. Dark, strong, intense and unadulterated. Trader Joe's has a nice selection of reasonably priced roasts. And I think the best bargain around is Puerto Rican coffee. Try Yaucono or Cafe Rico for a very inexpensive luxury brew.
