YAYYY! ~ welcome back, John ~ we missed your astute perspectives during the seemingly-never-ending campaign and election season ~ but there's always a new "crisis" popping up ~ we know things look, and some work, different here ~ we caught on quickly and know you will too ~ if you have any questions, just let us know ~

And thanks to roseanne for PM'g you ~ in case she didn't tell you, I couldn't do it myself since I got kicked out of yuku for having the nerve to take VoC independent ~ I'm wearing the "kicked from yuku" badge with honor ~

Yeah, Yuku is globally banning everyone who dares to bring their board elsewhere, or even so much as mentions to people about other message boards.

They even banned longtime member Casey1992 -- who spent virtually everyday on Yuku's help board assisting people with how Yuku works (not an employee -- just a helpful, friendly guy). It's a disgrace.

I have to be very careful about what I say there. Most of my communication is via private e-mail, and not via their PM system.

We had been considering leaving yuku for a some time, but ended up making the final decision fairly quickly ~ the "accidental" text ads were the final straw for me ~ that's really why VoC members had no notice until we were up and running here ~ we did the whole thing, including archiving our years of yuku threads/posts and setting up here in plus/minus 10 days or so ~ but we couldn't afford anyone to slip/comment on moving before we were ready and gone ~ MANY groups, both big and small, have left yuku thanks to its broken promises and forced "improvements" that don't improve anything ~ even Andrew's support group, that was so helpful to so many, has moved off the yuku platform and is being revamped to provide support for other platforms too ~ Casey is alive and well, his group [which is VERY big] successfully independent with [I think] the same platform we are using ~ and he's a moderator at Andrew's new group ~ I joined Andrew's new group and am happy to share the link with anyone interested ~

Who are Andrew and Casey?

Casey has a BIG baseball group [I'm thinking maybe as big as 1,000+ members] that he moved from yuku ~ while in yuku, he was an active contributor to Andrew's MemberSupport group, which I often mentioned and linked to when someone in VoC needed a why or how answer ~

I got so disgusted with what was going on at CE that I left Yuku entirely. I think I needed a break. Looks like the election got a few CE members to crawl back under the rocks from which they came.
