Sarah's out, Scott's in.

Oh, now I see the reason. Fox picks by alphabet. The S slot was available.

LOL @ both queenie's op and jab's comment ~ :b

There's a certain synergy in Fox + Scott Brown ~ Fox is desperate to redeem itself to its viewers and has let a few of its more "radical minds" go ~ Brown has a [misplaced, I think] rep as a "moderate" [well, maybe he is a "moderate" in today's GOP/TP] ~ so I can see his appeal to Fox ~ and Fox's appeal to Brown is more on-air face time for his future political goals ~ in addition, I'm guessing Fox will be paying Brown BIG bucks ~

What did I miss other than he's (allegedly) not running for the senate next go-round?

He's nice looking. This is a superficial world we live in.

Plus isn't the GOP is supposed to be rebranding? Out with religious, social conservative Huckabee types and in with the more socially moderate Northerner financial conservative types.

oskar, Brown has chosen to not run in the special election to fill John Kerry's remaining term [which I think would be until 2014] ~ but he has made it clear he's "not done" with politics ~ I'm thinking the determining fact could well be how much he makes from Fox ~

Kath, I'm not sure the rebranding goes that far ~ what I've been reading is that their ideology remains static but their messaging is "softening" ~

Agree absolutely on "superficial world" ~

I've heard that the only change will be that during Fox and Friends they will play a Mariachi music jingle and Steve Doocey or what's his name will talk about how hard work at Taco Bell can open all kinds of windows of opportunity to live the American dream.

That's what I meant.
One thing thlng is that Brown isn't always loony. It's refreshing given the typical modern GOP mindset.

Why would they need one?
Don't they all just read from GOP prepared scripts?

I think he'll be good at this. The GOP will still be the party of Wall Street without doubt, but he will be better at the presentation than Mitt was . Mitt oozed noblesse oblige. Distain for the 47 percent.

He doesn't present like a Tea Party loon either. He won't say idiotic things about God not being welcome in Sandy Hook elementary school. He will babble about cutting spending and shrinking government and all good little Republican talking points.

Brown is very moderate for a Republican and he has rebuffed the Tea Party, but he still has a problem- he's vacuous. His qualification for office is his daddy and his golf game.
