How well can you see colors? Take the Online Color Challenge!
The lower your score, the better.
0=Perfect Color Acuity and 99=Low Color Acuity.

I scored a "3".

Hmm, KathyK...I was strong in the blues and greens and weak in the purples/pinks. You?

I just repeated it and got a 15. All the errors were in the blues and greens.

Pinks and purples are my favorite colors, so that might explain it.

The trick to doing it is to first arrange them best you can.

Then when you're done, check yourself. You check by starting on one side and flipping colors #2 and #3 (you can't change color #1). If that looks right, then flip #3 and #4. Then #4 and #5. All the way across to the end.

Here were my results. The three I got wrong were in the greens (see second pic below):

Wouldn't it also depend on your monitor quality and resolution? With the barely discernible differences, a crappy monitor, brightness/contrast settings etc., you could run into difficulties that would affect your outcome.

It would be like picking a wall color from an online color chart.......or picking a color from a swatch in a store with fluorescent lighting. Can't be done properly.

I don't think it would really depend on the monitor since most modern monitors are capable of displaying millions of different hues. We're only sorting less than a hundred hues here, so I don't think the monitor would matter. Even if the monitor were slightly off, all of the hues would similarly be off, so we should still be able to arrange them in order.
