Your brilliance never faltered, and through thick or thin you fit me perfectly.
You paired with dress pants and jeans perfectly.
I must now say a prolonged goodbye as I see a smattering of daylight through your woven beauty.
One or two more times and I'll be done with you, but never over you.
I've never found another that could make me feel as good as you did every time I wore you.
Never found another that could brighten a dreary winter day like you.
You are unmatched, perhaps forever.
I will allow you a place of honor in my closet for a little while longer, while I come to

This is about a red chenille sweater I have owned since before I came to Canada 12 years ago. Purchased at Walmart for about $10. I never thought it would last this long, retain it's deep color and wear so well. I have looked high and low for a comparable sweater, to no avail. I am truly saddened by it's demise.

Silly, I know, but it's how I feel. lol

Not silly at all. My favorite, most comfy, most cozy sweater has been stitched up three times already. I know the end is near!

But I've already decided that when it gives up on me, I'll give it to Missy the kitty to snuggle on in her box.

Not silly at all. I've got clothes that have been retro at least twice that I still wear.

We all have something we won't give up ~ I have a pair of jeans that I only wear inside my own home because they are now tissue-thin from washings and have a seam splitting in inconvenient places ~ ~ roseanne, think about converting that beloved sweater into a pillow ~
