Merriam-Webster online has some great word games. Vocabulary, True or False, Spelling and Name that Thing.

I did fantastic on Vocabulary, good on Name that thing, ok on True or False, but failed miserably on Spelling. :o

I used to be so good at spelling. I was in a couple of spelling bees and have always loved words. I think "spell check" has spoiled me and age has stolen some skills from me. Dammit! Same with math too. Basic math is just a virtual or real calculator away. Sigh. I think I'll be playing the spelling game a lot to help hone that skill.

How will you do?

Ok, so I've played the spelling game a few times more now. Much better than the first time. It helps that I read the directions and realized I had 15 seconds instead of the 10 seconds on the vocabulary test. Gave me time to retrieve the data from my slow and bloated processor. :b

True. Lately I've been reading news articles in which the word "lead" (a soft metal) has been used as the past tense of a verb - to lead.
