So it occurs to me that my self esteem, what little there is, derives in part from my acquaintance with other people who are actually accomplished and important. Take for example this guy, whom I know from church, before he left the UW to join the faculty at Emery. Great guy, great family, great mind. Great to see him succeeding like this. I'm looking forward to the film.
